chocie bits!

A collection of writing, illustrations and poetry all about biscuits! I love the contrast of this page spread.

The Wanderer zine

A beautiful zine by a Brighton graphic designer loosely based on the theme of general wonderings. It features his own illustrations and photography. I love his use of typography on this page.

The Blue Bits Zine

The Blue Bits by Antony Zinonos is an A5 black and white zine printed on blue paper with hand cut and stuck blue pieces throughout. Each zine is unique. Very cute style.

WINNER!

I just won my first competition, normally I'm a total fail! I entered a facebook competition where I had to choose my favourite piece- I went for the Mina UK Indian dress which will be great for the summer festivals. Pretaportobello.com is an online market where you can get most of the brands found on Portobello road or Spitafields, without having to leave the sofa. They have some wicked brands, I'm especially a fan of the jewellery so check it out.

Robert Pattinson, this ones on my wall!

Flyer for Fabric

I first discovered the works of James Dawe when he did an illustration for a fiction piece in Elle magazine and instantly loved his style. He is an illustrator/ photo collager who works digitally and in analogue to create imagery usually in the form of portraits. I love the way he interprets everyday images in a surreal and fantastical way.

Wear the Wild Things

'Where The Wild Things Are'
Katie the tiger

Me for Merri

Anna Selezneva

I am still yet to see 'where the wild things are' but it is sure to have been an influential source for recent fashion trends. Animal prints have been popular for a while but now it has become a phenomenon for paws, all in one suits and hoods with ears to be worn.
Merri making hoods (www.merrimaking.co.uk) is a nottingham based company specialising in animal hoods and have already been a hit here and in London. Katie from the blog 'what katie wore' has been featured wearing one, and I was also lucky enough to feature on the flyer for the hoods.

Alice in her Wonderland

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeWsZ2b_pK4&feature=fvst

The release of Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland in March is sure to set off a theme for fashion designers and editorial photo shoots in 2010. In the past, the story has inspired photographers from Tim Walker to Annie Lebowitz and designers from Karl Lagerfield to Viktor & Rolf. I'm sure that we are to see a resurgence of this whimsical and surreal world of Alice and the Mad Hatter.

Balmain Menswear Spring 2010

In contrast to Balmain's womenswear, simplicity is a virtue. Distressed t-shirts with slim fit army trousers and fitted leather jackets are a big thumbs up for me. Especially with this James Dean-esque model, the line has a rebel edge to it.

Smart vs. Stupid

I've always been a fan of Diesel's light hearted and cheeky ad campaigns but their spring/summer BE STUPID campaign has really tickled me. Another very innovative viral marketing technique from Diesel. A stupid is as a stupid does.

February's Russian Vogue

February's issue of russian vogue features a photo shoot with the beautiful french model Magdalena Frackowiak. I love the styling of this shoot, it looks like a very hazy, bohemian day in the 60's.

The beautiful work of illustrator and digital artist Minjae Lee aka. Greeno. Despite being only 19, the young korean has amazing talent and skill. He is sure to go far!
